Philips 3D Replacements

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

One way to reduce marketing cost is to reuse the material multiple times or to be able to use it in different markets where differente variants of a specific product are available. This is where 3d replacements come in. With 3d replacements we change the model or colour of the product that is being used it the video so that the video can be used multiple times and does not have to be re made from scratch. This is why most Philips adds are shot with 3d Replacements in mind. All preparations are made beforehand so the product can easily be replaced later on. In the video on the side you can see some of the shots I worked on. I did the replacements in my role as a 3d artist at Peek Creative studios for Wenneker.

TASKS

I was responsible for all the shots, materials and quality. I collected all the material and other files needed for the replacement. Arranged the 3d tracking and masking with a third party. I created setups for the scenes in 3d with the footage. Lit the scene and rendered the 3d shots. Eventually did the compositing and matched the shot to the orginal.
